September 15, 2005:  I have written thoughts about the Star Wars prequels which can be found here and here.

February 26, 2005: I have written a review of Steven Pinker's book, The Blank Slate - The Modern Denial of Human Nature.

October 14, 2004: I have given considerable thought to the problem of exacly how powerful Gandalf and The Balrog really are. Here are my thoughts...

September 8, 2004: I have written a review of Anthony Everitt's book, Cicero, The Life and times of Rome's Greatest Politican.

March 27, 2004: I have finished a review of Karen Armstrong's A History of God. As I write in the book reivew, this was a tough book to review because of it's vast scale. I may add to this book review in the future.

March 14, 2004: I've posted photos from a trip I took to Argentina and Brazil, which took place in October 2003. I was slow to post photographs because my I had to acquire new software for posting photographs in formatted web pages.  As noted on the web pages, I haven't written stories yet. I also intend on posting perhaps another 30 or so photographs from this vacation.

If you find yourself itching to travel to Rio De Janeiro Brazil, I highly recommend taking tours of The Marvellous City with Lisa Tours of Rio De Janeiro! If you decide to spend some time in Buenos Aires Argentina, try taking tours with Diferente Argentina (Different Argentina).

I have been doing a lot of writing in my weblog, which has slowed progress on my E - Book of stories in Asia from 1991 - 1992. I am still stuck on chapter 11, which was about a trip I took to Shanghai and to the Philippines.

Febuary 1, 2004: I've written a second book review. This one is of author Elaine Pagels' 1979 classic, The Gnostic Gospels. I don't think I'll be reading anything else by Pagels for a while, mostly out of other interests.

January 22, 2004: I've created a weblog, which can be visited here. In the future, my monthy Oracles will be posted to my weblog.

Amazingly, author Charles Freeman sent me an email about my review of his book, The Closing of the Western Mind.

January 6, 2004: I've posted my first book review. The book is Charles Freeman's recently published The Closing of the Western Mind - the Rise of  Faith and Fall of Reason. At the end of the review, I add a comment about J.R.R. Tolkien and speculate about how Christianity may have colored his views about modern life in ways that have been noted before, but have not been specifically tied to his Christian faith.

I've posted a page which demonstrates a game of Magi, my  10 x 10 chess variant. In this game, I show that  it is possible to  employ a strategy in Magi which is normally not  playable in  chess. My first posted game is located here.  I will be posting
more sample games in the future.

Visit my Oracle page. For December 2003, I forsee the future box  office success for New Line Cinema's the Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King.

Hot LinkMajor revision to the final Lord of the Rings film,  The Return of the King. I am not happy about this, even if the deleted scenes will be included in the final extended edition. The film may not entirely make sense without the deleted scenes. Read here for my explanation why the deleted scenes are important.

My current interest is in completing my E - Book of Adventures in Asia.
